Elle joined us full-time in 2022 after earning her degree in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and completing the Winemaking Certification Program at UC Davis. Before coming home to the family business, she sharpened her skills during harvests and production roles at respected California producers including J. Lohr, Calera, and Epoch Estate Wines.
“Elle brings a thoughtful, innovative approach to winemaking while staying grounded in the values our winery was built on,” says founder Sean Minor. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see her vision and energy shape the next phase of our wines.”
One of her early projects—our 2023 Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma’s Denmark Vineyard—highlights her perspective as a winemaker. Aged in locally crafted clay amphorae, the wine celebrates regional expression, sustainability, and minimal intervention—principles that guide her work in the cellar.
As Winemaker, Elle now leads production across our growing portfolio of AVA-specific wines. She works alongside her parents, Sean and Nicole, who founded the winery in 2005 with a belief that great wine should be varietally true, intentionally crafted, and accessible for everyday enjoyment.
When she’s not in the cellar, you’ll find Elle outside, walking vineyard rows, exploring Northern California, or out with her dog, Ceci. Her connection to the landscape continues to inspire her approach to winemaking and the future of our wines.
This moment marks an important chapter for us: a generational transition rooted in family, sustainability, and the belief that wine is meant to bring people together. We couldn’t be more excited for what Elle will bring to Sean Minor Wines in the years ahead.
