Start your day with the irresistible crunch of homemade granola, inspired by the iconic recipes of Ina Garten.

Packed with wholesome oats, roasted nuts, sweet dried fruits, and a touch of golden honey, this granola is a perfect balance of flavor and texture. Whether sprinkled over creamy yogurt, paired with fresh berries, or enjoyed straight from the jar, it’s a delicious and nutritious breakfast or snack. Easy to make and endlessly customizable and a go-to for healthy indulgence.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 cups unsweetened, shredded coconut
  • 2 cups sliced almonds
  • ¾ cup avocado oil (has no flavor and good for you)
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 cup small-diced dried apricots
  • ½ cup dried currants
  • 1 cup dried cherries, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup dried cranberries, cut into chunks
  • ½ cup golden raisins
  • 1 cup roasted, unsalted cashews
  • 1 cup roasted, unsalted pecans

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Middle rack

Toss the oats, coconut, and almonds together in a large bowl.  In a separate measuring cup, whisk together the oil and honey and pour over the oat mixture.  Stir until coated.

Pour evenly into an even layer and bake for 30 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes. Cook until golden brown. Set granola aside and let it cool to room temperature.

Combine the apricots, currants, cherries, cranberries, and raisins in a small bowl and set aside. Once the granola has cooled, add the cashews and pecans to the cooled pan. If you wish to gift your granola, combine all of the ingredients and place in fun jars and wrap with a bow. If you want crunchy granola, combine the fruit and the granola mixture just prior to serving. This will help to keep the granola crunchy!
