3 lbs fresh salmon boned with skin on
1 Tbsp sesame oil
4 Tbsp canola oil
4 Tbsp soy sauce
1 garlic clove minced
½ tsp finely chopped fresh ginger
fresh chopped chives for garnish 


Lightly oil grill on high heat. Cut salmon into 6 equal pieces.

Whisk together sesame oil, canola oil, soy sauce, garlic and ginger in a small bowl. Drizzle over salmon. Allow to marinade for 10 mins.

Place salmon skin side up on hot grill, grill lid open. Grill for 4 mins. Turn with a spatula and grill for 4 mins skin side down. Turn temp down to low and grill with lid closed 2-4 mins more.

Remove from grill (salmon should be slightly raw in center). Let sit for 5 mins and remove from skin. Garnish with chives and serve with a bottle of Sean Minor Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.
